Urgent : CO/PA Datasource Transport from R/3 DEV to R/3 QA

Hello!

I am trying to transport the CO/PA datasources that show up in RSA6 in R/3DEV to R/3 QA. All the transports have been moved. Nothing shows up in RSA6 of QA. I can display the datasource in KEB0 but cannot do the extraction in RSA3, as it gives the error 'It is not defined in the system".

I have already executed the program ZCOPACLT and that is how I can display the datasource in KEB0.

Am I missing something somewhere?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Sonal,

was the transport successfully imported with error Code 0 in QA? Check SE10 in DEV

Is the Extractstructure active in QA? check SE11 in QA. Extractstructure name can be found in SBIW. Should be Z0X*

Hi Michael,

I dont see any active structure in QA. The transports went fine with code0. What I am thinking is could it be that I had moved the co/pa datasource from client 200 to client 220 with executing program ZCOPACLT. I did transport from DEV client 200 to QA. When the datasource is not in Client 200.

That could be a possibility but I have custom master datasources in DEV clients 200 and 220. I transported them to QA and they dont show up. Could the reason mentioned above be liable for it too ?

Hi Sonal,

I am not familiar with the program ZCOPACLT. Could be that you moved the datasource but not the Extract structure. In SBIW select "Settings for application specific Datasources" -> "Profitability Analysis" -> "Create Datasource" Enter the Datatsource and select "display" There you find the na,e of the extractstructure. If the Extracstructure is not there your transport or you programm didn't work.

Is that the same problem you posted in October? I would recommend you to transport the DS from DEV to QA Client 220 looks like something is lost during the move you basis guys do.

I dont see extract structure in QA. There are two clients in DEV : R/3 DEV 200 AND R/3 DEV 220. Transports are done from teh configurable client R/3 DEV 200 and from there we are moving it to R/3 QA.

I have posted a message before but that was moving the datasource from dev client 200 to dev client 220. That did not require a transport but the program zcopaclt from note 354760.

I am running into this problem for the first time.

I went and did another transport and it went with 0 error but still no update in RSA6 or structure in se11.

Hi Sonal,

1) check in DEV if the extractstructure was generated there.

2) check the object list of the transport to see wether the extractstructure was included.

if the structure was not generated in DEV you might have to recreate the Datasource, unless anybody knows a better way.

if the structure is inactive (e.g because Description is missing) try to activate the structure and recollect the transport.

If the structure is available in Dev and active annd was not in transport you should recollect and retransport.

Sorry, thats all I can think of right now.

Hi Michael, I checked thre structures again in both DEV 200 and QA 320. I can see the structure in DEV 200 but not in QA 320. Does this mean something going rong while BASIS is transporting it although it shows that transport processed with no error.

Should they do this manually?

A transport of a COPA Datasource normally includes

Datasource: 1_CO_PA*

Table: Z0X*

Table Content: TKEBWL, TKEBWLF, TKEBWLG, TKEBWLS, TKEBWLT, TKEBWLY,

The transport only includes the 6 table names you had mention but not the datsource name 1_CO_PA or the Table: Z0x*. I went back to make sure the structures are active but they dont have any description.

Should we reactivate them? collect and transport.

In Order to recollect I should go to RSA6 press f9 on the seclected datasource line and click on Transport. Create a new transport and verify the contents.

I followed the above mentioned process for the datasource and it shows only the table names.

They are all under $TMP class.Could that be a factor?

I wanted to verify.

Hi Sonal,

the object should certainly not have the $TMP Package if you want to transport them.

when you collect the transport you should be asked to enter the package. $TMP is for objects that are not transported.

Since it is R/3, I can change the Developement class of the datasource but not for the structure itself. Do you think the only option is to create a new structure hich means creating a new datasource?

I am planning to have ABAP person try to copy the structure and give it a different class with the same name. Do you think that will work?

Or do you know of any way on how we can change the develpement class of the sturcture? I tried to append and to change the dclass is still greyed out.

Now, when I collect the datasource, I see the datasource name and 6 tables but no structure.

You can go into SE11 and change the dev class of the structure there via Goto -> Object Directory Entry. Make sure to have the name of the structure entered under Data Type and the radio button marked.
