Container Variables not filled in Alert Inbox in SAP PI 7.1

Hi All,

When triggering Alerts, we are able to get the alerts in the Alert Inbox, but the Container Variables are not filled.

Even we have used all the available Containers in the Alert Category, but could not get those.

Even we checked SAP notes 913858 which says to implement 835031, But the notes 835031 applies upto PI 7.0 only and not 7.11.

So can Any one please help in solving this and give some suggestions.

Thanks and Regards,

Sridhar

I have been using PI 7.1, 7.11 and have not seen this issue at all.

Have you used the correct variables?

Try raising a message with SAP also.

    Hi,

Now we are able to trigger alerts in Alert Inbox, along with the container variables, which we are not able to get earlier.

After checking the configuration, finally we found that RFC CentralMonitoringServer-XIAlerts in PI did not have a fully qualified hostname.

Once I had deleted this, then when the first Alert has been triggered, then the RFC has been updated with full hostname.

Earlier the host name different, but later it has been changed, and this changed one is not reflected in RFC. This RFC will be updated with host name only when it is created first or when we delete and then alert triggered.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Sridhar
