Search configure for string

Dear all,

We are migrating our server and the host name and cluster name will be changed in the exercise, and that mean we will need to change many configures.

I would like to know if I can search the configures for a specific string, in this case the host and cluster name.

With my knowledge, the following should be searched:

1) Visual Admin

2) Configure Tools

3) Configure within EP

Please let me know if I miss anything

I'm not sure whether I've understood your question correctly, but I would check the following notes:

757692 - Changing the hostname for J2EE Engine 6.40/7.0

741289 - Profile parameters of the J2EE Engine are lost

They provide a good overview of all the changes you will have to do.

Hi Désirée,

Thanks alot, that's definitely help.

What I want to know is for example:

1) If I can export the complete setting to a file to search the host name so I know if there are still configure to change

2) Same as point one but maybe there are function to use or DB table to search

Because I tried to browse the setting in VA, and I find that some service have the host name inputted and that will need to change in the execrise, and I am afraid a eyesball check is not safe enough.
