Dear Friends

In case of roaster, horizontal and vertical are Reservation Types, if we want to assign both to the same roaster, is it possible, I am trying but didnu2019t find such option.

For the recruitment if the person recruited is SC/ST/BC with Physically challenged, where and how to maintain this.

Did you find any solution to the issue you mentioned. Mapping Horizontal and Vertical roster points to same roster.

Hi Kiran,

As far as the scenario is concerned, you cannot maintain it in customizing.

However, if the employee is recruited as SC/ST/OBC and is also physically challenged then this information can be captured in IT0077 and IT0004.

Here we can maintain the category to which employee belongs and also the degree to which the employee is handicapped.

The Rosters functionality is totally based on OM. So, once the employee is assigned to the roster points, the particular position will be shown occupied for both the category to which he belongs (i.e the vertical reservation) and also for the physically handicapped one ( i.e the horizontal roster).

We have stored all the positions which are filled by both sc/st/obc & also Ex-service man, or Physically challenged.

What ever you suggested is absolutely fine, but we have to maintain the inidentified positions, which is reserved for the Physically challenged.

As per you suggestion, only if the employee is assigned to the position, we can know that hes both sc/st/obc and also ex service man or physically challenged

If the potion is vacant then how to identify that, this position is reserved for both sc/st/obc and also physically challenged.

Dear friends

When I am giving the Reservation Type as horizontal and categories OH 1%, VH 1% and HH 1% is mentioned, but still when created roster points its not being reflected in the roaster.

But incase the Reservation Type as vertical and give the percentage for sc, st obc system is creating the roster points accordingly.

For one roaster we can maintain either horizontal or vertical, but here if a position is reserved for both horizontal and vertical say SC/ST/OBC and OH/VH/HH then how to maintain this in the roster.

Also We need to develop a report where the positions reserved for OH/VH/HH , and exservice men to be displayed. to develop this report, first we need to maintain for the postions both vertical and horizontal reservations.

Please suggest how to do this

Thank you for the reply, so you mean to say that maintaining both vertical and horizontal roster point for the same position is not possible thatu2019s what you refer rite

We want to develop a report how many positions are reserved for the physically challenged, and also for the ex service men so how to draw this logic if we can not maintain the roster point to the position

Are you on ECC 6.0, then you'll find the node under payroll-> payroll India -> india public sector -> roster
