SAP XI model

Hi all,

I am new to SAPXI. I am planning to develop a model to exchange the data from Peoplesoft CRM to SAP R/3. For example Peoplesoft CRM creates the customer data and the same would be kept in FTP server. Can i use file/ftp adapter to get this file??? and from sap side i am thinking of using idoc adapter?? Does it work???

    Yes.

    This is a simple scenario in XI terms.

    File/FTP adapter -> XI -> IDOC Adapter.

    This is very simple in terms of integration.

    On the SAP side the possible communications modes include:

    - RFC functions modules

    - IDOC

    - Proxy based communication
