Unable to Publish Crystal Report in BW

HI

Guys

I am using EHP1 BI Server with SAP BO SP3 integration kit and Crystal Report 2008,

Content Administration Workbench is working fine i mean verify BOE definition,

but still i am unable to publish any crystal reports

neither i able to save report in BW from CR 2008

Pls help me out

what should be the role or any handy step by step guide

Hi,

did you verify that the user has the necessary authorizations in the SAP BW system as listed in the installation guide for the SAP Integration Kit ?

Yes i did as per installation integration kit, and assigned the role to the user, but any for my clarrifation,

the user which used for sap authentication in BOE also has got the role and a BW user also has been assigned the role

Can you just put focus in this

Hi,

you mentioned that you can not even save a report to BW without publishing which clearly indicates that the user doesn't have enough authorizations so you should check the authorizations (not roles) for the user on the BW system and also run an authorization trace.

I checked every think and as per your documentation and installation guide it seem to be everything fine, but when i was checking the service in bw ce_url it giving an error, and my ehp1 is a standard installation, can pls let me know what the real pre-requisite before configuration.

Hi,

the service has nothing to do with you saving a report to the BW system.

I assume the situation has not changed and you can not save a report without publishing to the BW system ?

if so verify the authorizations.

Sorry for late response, it was the issue of authorization after a long workouts i was finally able to do thanks for your responses,

One clarification the SAP integration guide provides the authorization for hands on but it does not look for basic configuration except some like crystal_entitlement role. for other role i am getting a error 'RFC connection error RFCPING, once after doing some analysis i tired with all in S_RFC authroization abject names then it work out, but i don't think it is advisable. So if you can provide me the exact RFC names then i will try and get back to you
