BW Report to R/3 Transaction

Hello,

Here is the scenario: Users want to run a report in BW to validate their data. Then for the entries that are not assigned, they want to be able to click on the object(employee) and jump to R/3 to a transaction where now they are going to fill in the data for that particular object.

As anybody done this?

    We are doing that right now. What we are doing is creating a small BSP application that builds a SAPSHORTCUT.INI file, we are then adding a link to the BW report with the correct parameters when a user clicks the link the BSP application loads in a new window the SAPSHORTCUT which the user is then prompted to Open or Save --> when they open it the GUI loads the transaction in SAP.

      Another instance means another source system. Just connect a different client to your BW.

    Hi Dirk,

    is it also possible to use SSO Functionality in this scenario ? When i`m using RRI ?

    We want to jump from a BSP based Application on SAP BW side to a SAP R/3 Transaction. And we want to use the SSO functionality.
