Hi,
I want to create a staff directory in the portal and noticed that you can display 'business cards' that include staff photo's. Can you maintain this data outside of SAP, using iViews however or will I have to build it from scratch?
Thanks,
BJB
The Business Card data is maintained in the UME you have configured for your portal. So yes, the data can be maintained outside SAP (for example: Active Directory). The photo should be uploaded to the portal though.

Mikael

Hi,
to upload photos, each user has the possibility to upload his own photo by the component com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people.ChangePhoto. There is also an iView to be found under pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/administrator/Collaboration_Administrators/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.coll.ChangePhotoSelfService
Beneath the self service an administrator can upload photos via the same component, just that the property "Administrative Mode" is set to true; for the iView see pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/administrator/Collaboration_Administrators/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.coll.PhotoMaintenance.
Hope it helps
Detlev
Detlev,
Sorry for adding to this old post. Not much on the subject. It looks like these photo maintenance iViews is limited to portal and probably uses KM repositiry, correct? Do you know of any SAP based solution that supports MS AD based photos? I'm not finding anything. We currently are leanin g toward ArchiveLink but want to explore all options for SAP and OSAP.
Thanks,
Doug
Where did you see that you can display "business cards"?
