Dear All,
I have successfully sent a delivery order for reprint using BAPI_LIKP_PROCESS_MSG_DIRECT through RFC. However, the delivery order will remain in the spool and not be printed, with the message 'frontend unavailable'.
However, if i 'restart frontend printing' from the utilities menu, the jobs will then be printed out.
Also, if i 'Test Run' the function in SE37, it also works perfectly.
What am i missing here?
Best Regards,
Junwen

Hello Junwen,
probably you try to use printer 'LOCL' - which is of course only available, when you work online. Try to use a different SAP-Printer instead.

Hi Junwen,
if you use printer LOCL, output will come on your standard windows printer. This is managed by a SAPGUI programm called SAPLDP. I think this will not work in batch mode, but only in dialog mode.
Check if you can print in dialog mode. Maybe your SAPGUI and your SAPLPD is not installed correctly.
In batch mode try to use another logical SAP printer name, which does not use your frontend printer.
Regards
Volker
