User Exit for Copying Items into Billing Doc

Former Member

Hi,

I have Sales order , which has one standard item and one Service Item.

By default std item gets copied over to Delivery doc and service Item doesnt( which is correct as it is what it is supposed to do).

At billing time data is copied from Delivery to Billing , so std item is there , but I want to add Service Item from Sales Ord.

Is there any User-Exit to achieve ? or if someone has done similar thing is past.

Thanks again for all your answers.

Hi,

Item relevant delivery indicator in Item category is specifically provided by SAP for transferring text/service items to delivery and billing docs.

Hi,

Yes. It would come in delivery document. Please try as per Amit's suggestion and confirm.

It was achieved through Copy control. more details are on this thread.

Thanks everyone who shared their ideas.

Hi,

One option is to create you billing document with reference to the sales order, and you will get both items copied.

Going by your case you are doing billing wrt to delivery, but then you will have to create another billing document for the service item with reference to the sales order, which I guess is not your requirement.

In your item category for std item maintain it as 'Item relevant for Delivery' and you are done. No need of user exit.

However, you cannot combine one item from order and one item from delivery into a single billing document, if you are planning to do one wrt order and other wrt delivery.

Amit,

Thanks for your reply.

Cannot create billing doc with ref to SO as the picked and PGIed qty in Delvy could be less than in SO and we want to bill what is in Delivery..
