Problem_Configuring Screen Layout for an Activity(Customers)

Former Member

Scenario:

This is required for reconciliation account. The reconciliation account updated during the create mode should not be changed later on in the change mode. This will create a lot of problem. In the change mode the field should not be available for change. It should be only in the display mode.

To do that I followed the standard Process:

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide-Financial Accounting (New)-Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable-Customer Accounts-Master Data-Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data-Define Screen Layout per Activity (Customers)

Here In this Screen after getting into my company code. I couldn't find the transaction type "Change Customer(Accounting)" Instead I am getting "Select Group".

How to configure the Screen for this activity??

A Detail help is well appreciated.

Dear,

Go to OB20. Go to Change customer (centrally)... company code data...account management..make recon a/c as display. This will resolve your issue.

Hi Atif,

OB20 reaches at the same path FI Accounting - FI Global setting - AR/AP - Customer A/c - Master data - Prepartion for creating customer master data - Define scrren layout per activuity (Customer).

However once we maintain scrren layout in Change Customer (Centrally) even it makes change in master but my question is there is one more option Change Customer (Accounting) where also same tab mainatain for e.g. reconciliation a/c in account management tab.

I maintain display in chnage customer (Centrally) & in change customer (accounting) it is optional . However master changes to display as per (centrally ) maintain fiels status.

Can you exlpain me what is difference between two Change customer centrally & accounting? which one of it is dominating?

Akshata

Dear,

Its very simple if you go to accounting view and make recon account in display in change mode it then it will be done for FdO2 (FdO1 is the t code used to create customer master data at company code level but not at saler organization level) whereas when you maintain it Centrally change mode as display mode it will be done for XdO2 i-e at sales organization level . In industries with SD module XDO1 is used for Customer master data creation hence you should make recon in display mode for central view that is create it as centrally which dominates. Hope it clears now.

Regards
