BO Report bursting in XI R3.1

Currently, we are on BO 6.5 and have a lot of Deski reports with macros performing different tasks. Firstly, we will convert all Deski to Webi for XI R3.1 migration work and then go for Macro - Publisher conversion.

I need to know how to setup a replacement of macros through XI Publisher for the following tasks:

1. Macro is filtering report data based on country dynamically

2. Macro is filtering report data based region-wise dynamically (within the BO report macro regions are hard-coded in variables for filter purposes)

3. Macro is saving BO report tabs in a separate pdf/html formats say, if 10 tabs are there then 10 htmls and pdfs generated (with section breaks)

4. Macro is performing a filter on year-Month basis say, 2011-06 2011-05 etc.

How shall I proceed in such scenarios and what is the best approach. Any in-depth knowledge would be great help to me.

In addition, If I take a simple BO webi report and create a publication for the same to save in inbox with refreshed data it does not work at all?

Why Webi report is not getting refreshed through publication where as, It works when scheduled as it is or refreshed manually.
