ALV Colours when making a column editable

Why do the colours of the entire table change when I make a column editable and how do I change them back to how they were?!

    Hi Ian

The control itself adjusts the colors if you do not set them explicitly. You can get information on making all those adjustments on the ALV Grid control from relevant sections of the tutorial "An" target="_blank">www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/a1-8-4/an%20easy%20reference%20for%20alv%20grid%20control.pdf">"An Easy Reference for ALV Grid Control".

    change gt_fieldcat-emphasize.

it is a four-character-long Hexdecimal(I'm not sure) field.

    LOOP AT gt_fieldcat.

    CASE gt_fieldcat-fieldname.

    WHEN 'VBELN'.

    gt_fieldcat-emphasize = 'C40'.

    ENDCASE.

    MODIFY gt_fieldcat.

    ENDLOOP.

If it helps please give points.

You can change the colour of a row, but I am not sure, you can change the colour of individual columns.

There is a noticeable difference between a normal ALV Report and an Editable ALV Report, in terms of colour. As far as I know, even those colours cannot be changed.

    Hi guys

Many thanks for the quick responses. As it happens I am already using Serdar's reference plus the Controls Technology book. I was just wondering if there was a quicker way of setting the colours back e.g. if there was an edit colour scheme and a display colour scheme that I could just turn on.

I guess not so I will do it manually. Is there a colour number for white BTW?!

    Cheers

    Ian

I have now follwed the examples from Sedar's reference correctly and things are shaping up nicely!

Now 'all' I have to do is respond to my editable field.

    Thanks again.

    Ian
