Dear All,

I have the Dimension Account type, and i need to change one of its property name SOLVEORDER to SOLVE_ORDER

I am not able to change the property name using admin client, and the info object is in Revised status at back end.

and the dimension is not able to activate from using ADMIN Client

pop up error message is :

Error in Admin module

Failed to activate SAP NetWeaver BI infoObject for dimension

How to activate the Dimension and its property.

I would also suggest to run RSRV and RSRV will diagnose any such inactive obejcts and from there you can activate.

Resolved the issue. Deleted the formula property along with solveorder and recreated again.

Hi Swathi,

I agree to the above suggestion. The SOLVEORDER property comes by default and it is the technical name. This helps you in calculating Account formula correctin correct sequence. Hence, It is not advisable to change the name.

I am not able to process the Dimension. it will throw the error message:

Hi,

The best way would be to run the program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT for your appset.

Thank you for giving me reply, If i use UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT

under that i select ACTIVATE APPSET or any other selection to activate my info object at backend.

what is the use of this functionality. I already created applications and dimensions for planning.

If i run the above selection, any changes to my existing applications/dimension members.

Hi,

Sometimes, the objects become inactivated, as you are facing now. This program is used to activate all the objects under a particular appset. This will not have any impact on the existing objects.

The appset was transported in production system.

and doing UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT with selection Activate Appset

is giving the below error message for me .

UJT_EXCEPTION Import already complete, create new request

UJS_EXCEPTION Errors occured during "after import" method call during activation

We are having this exact issue, and want to run this program so that ONE dimension that is showing 'inactive' can be made active again. We are unsure though of which boxes to check / uncheck on the program selection screen in the back end of BW. Clearly we leave blank "delete appset", but what other boxes should be checked / unchecked?

Hi,

In addition to what Poonam has suggested, I would like to recommend not to change the SOLVEORDER property. This property is added automatically by the system, whenever you add FORMULA property. This property is used by the system internally. Hence, not a good idea to change this property.

Hi Swathi,

As far as what i understood from your issue is that, you want to change the property name 'SOLVEORDER' to 'SOLVE_ORDER'.

Once you have created dimension property in BPC, it is automatically added as back-end attribute to the characteristic (in your case ACCOUNT). That property is in use after that in BI/BW. Thats why, when you are trying to make changes, it is not allowing you to move with that. Once the properties are created, you cannot make changes to them if it is already in use in back-end. You need to first delete the entries from the back-end (BI/BW), then you would be able to proceed further.

As per your dimension and its properties are concerned, they are already active in BI/BW. You just need to process the dimensions and you can work on it.
