File Adapter (Sender) - using NFS transport option

Has anyone experienced difficulty setting up the Sender File Adapter using the NFS transport option?

I have the NFS mount set up properly and the adapter initializes(green light). No errors appear in the log files, but the file is not picked up.

I switched to the ftp option and it worked, but in this environment ftp is going to be shut down per security, so NFS (or secure FTP) are the only options.

Is anything else required in the configuration beside the mandatory parameters? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

Did you verify whether the XI service user has authorized access to the NFS?

What is the service user ID you are referring to? Is it XIAFUSER for needs the access?

Bill,

The NFS where the file is being picked up is set to full access (unix 777), but it made no difference. Does the XI service user (Adapter Engine - XIAFUSER) need to be defined in the unix system of the NFS?

I'm not quite sure if the authorization access you're referring to is done under SAP admin or at the unix system level.

Thanks for your help
