Creating a view in SAP (MM/SD modules)

Hello, all!

I'm creating a database view in SAP based on VBFA, SER01, OBJK tables. After i had specified the fields, I decided to check if everything is correct. SAP gave me several error messages. For example, please add MANDT fields of the tables and other key fields. Ok, I added them but then SAP told me that I have too many MANDT fields in the view, delete them. And now it's like in a loop! Whatever I do, it either tells me: please add MANDT for those tables or please remove MANDT.

What am i doing wrong?

I want to have this view to speed up my RFC which returns material number (MATNR), serial number (SERNR), equipment description (EQKTX) and sales order (VBELV) from VBFA.

    Hello,

You only need to add the MANDAT field once in your view. This should resolve this issue. Cheers!

I would appreciate any explanation on how to create views in SAP. I'm quite a newbee to SAP. What i know is that it allows only inner joins between tables (no outer joins). Other than that, i don't recall other requirements.

BTW, i want to emphasize that im creating a database view ⚠️, not a maintenance or a projection one.

    Ciao,

add some information to your message.

    1. Join condition used

    2. Key fields

    3. other tables involved in your view

    4. mainly the document flow. What's your starting document? Sales order? Delivery? Sernr and MATNR are in the equipment master table EQUI and in the VBAP table(sales order item).

    5. why did you choose VBFA as the main table?
