GRC CUP configuration->support->Escalation is on hold

Hi,

We have in GRC CUP, GRC CUP configuration->support->Escalation is on hold to" NO".What happened if i gave "Yes".Right now request is escalation to alternate approver. What will happen if i gave NO.I tested in Development system with "YES" option and the request is not escalating to alternate approver. Then what is the use of YES option.I don't understand. Can some one please explain me.

Thanks

Yakoob

    Hi,

This is a new parameter introduced in CUP-Config-Support

If this values is set to NO and in stage configuration, Escalation is set to alternate approver, the escalation should go to alternate approver(given alternate approver is defined).

But as said, not tested by myself.

    Regards,

    Sabita

      Hi,

This is introduced in patch14 and the purpose and configuration is not very clear- refer to SAP note 1168508 - Patch 14 section

Escalation of requests on Hold depends on the ERM configuration

parameter: PARAM number 150. Requests on hold will escalate if its

value is set as 1, otherwise not. For setting in CUP, go to

Configuration -> Support -> 'Configuration for Escalate On Hold'.

Requests on hold will escalate when 'Escalation is on hold' is set

      as Yes.

It would be better to raise a ticket with SAP.
