Crystal Reports in SAP EP 6.0

Hi,

We have few crystal reports and wanted to put them in SAP EP. What is the best way to do this? We dont want to install Crystal reports software on each users machine. Will Crystal Enterprise version solve the problem?

Using application integrator, iviews can be created. But it needs - system for crystal report and crystal report id. What is this system?

    Hi Maya,

    You should take a look at Crystal Enterprise Enhance SAP Edition v10. It includes Crystal Enterprise, Crystal Reports and all the required files for the SAP integration that was co-developed with SAP.

    With this version you can automatically have CR create iViews that can be imported into the EP.

    When creating Crystal iViews manually you need to provide the system ID for the Crystal Enterprise server (as this one processes and renders the reports) and the report ID (as soon as you save a Crystal report to the BW repository it gets assigned a unique ID).

    Hi Mayo,

    There are 2 ways to integrate the crystal reports into EP,

    1. Crystal report id.

    2. Application Integrator.

    If you are using Case 1, then only the particular report can be viewed. Where as, in case 2 the user can view all the reports based on the privilege back on the crystal server.

    System is the one where you have to configure the crystal host IP etc.
