Hi,

Can you also check if your virual memory is set properly. Moroever what is youd developer trace logs are telling?

Hi

It could be the reason of hanging unwanted processes using RAM, try to restart the server and check to install again.

Thanks,

No that doesnt help.

Still the same issue.

Let me know if you need any other log for more information

- check your windows service to find whether the database and sap instance service is running.

- check your network & disable firewall temporarily

- check your sharing (at least sapmnt and saploc should be present)

if problem still persist, paste your r3trans -d log here.

The error is definitely with starting the DB connection. But I do not understand why.

trans.log is given below:

I was finally able to resolve this issue and install SolMan successfully with DB2.

Things I did:

Increase the page file size to 10190MB

Created a new Admin account for SAP installation. Earlier I used the built in admin account (This is mentioned in the installation guide, but I must have overlooked it at the first time)
