LSMW Idoc error in start idoc processcing as No data could be selected

Hi Abapers

am uploading the data Using the LSMW-IDOC Method.

it is executing successfully Up to the 13th Step I.e start idoc generation.

when i execute the 14th Step Start Idoc Processing.

am getting the Popup information Error like...

Error: No data could be slelected .

Can any one help me on this issue

What did SAP tell you in step 13? Did you have the message that x IDOCs got created?

Step 14 has a selection screen, have you tried to use less data for selection.

Use BD87 to find your IDOCs, maybe they are in a status that does not allow processing.

maybe all have syntax errors.

Hi Jurgen,

In step 13 im getting a pop up message saying tht file transferred for idoc generation but when i move to step 14 that is start idoc processing im getting tht error no data could be selected and the status of idoc is 65 that is Error in ALE service what could be going wrong can u help me out .

can you explain in detail what you did in WE20 (or initial LSMW menu) to define the partner profile for IDOC processing?

Hi Jurgen,

I have a flat file in Sap CRM system for that i have to do datamigration using IDOC method so in sale transaction im creating a logical system for the same client and in we20 im assigning the logical system name as partner no and since it is inbound in inbound parameter im passing the message type.

I guess you are mixing some things.

to send IDOCs from CRM to ERP you may need the logical system.

But in ERP to post an IDOC from LSMW you need a partner type US

Hi jurgen i have the flat file at the presentation server level in crm system itself in this case what it is to be done in we20 and we21 where in sender and receiver system are one and the same since im getting the legacy data in a flat file at presentation server level only .

Hi Abapers,

Im working on datamigration for Business partner using Lsmw idoc method and getting Idoc status 53 with message crmxif_partner_save function module generated successfully with BP number but some of the entries of the fields is not getting inserted into master table BUT000,can any one put a tip of light what exactly is going wrong as i have taken all necesscary steps if any one can share their views like how to trace the posting program for inbound idoc crmxif_partner_save_m02 and where exactly the data is getting inserted into database table BUT000.

Will appreciate all your help.

You may have incorrectly configured the partner profile, or the partner profile may be inactive. Please check again in WE20.
