Deactivating Excel inplace.

Hi everybody.

We have users that want to deactivate excel inplace in order to open the ALV result of TA s_alr_87011966 directly in a independent excel window. Where we can do this?.

Hi Francisco,

Try pressing Print Preview (there is a button for it near the Excel-button). That actually makes an ALV List from the grid. And press the Excel-button on that list! It will bring up Excel in a separate window.

Thanks for your reply but what I'm looking for is the way to "switch off" the Excel inplace. We what that the excel opens in a separated window, Excel "outplace".

Hi Francisco,

Excel Inplace one can only indirectly "switch off" at this point. Before executing the transaction disable the indicator "ALV Grid Control use". You can then export the list to Excel as normal.
