interfaces and conversions

Hi Friends.

Iam new to sap world and started with abap. Can any one of you tell me what topics come under interfaces area. As far as i know, i think its mainly related to bdc, bapi, and idoc side.

Am i right. Also can you let me know where i can find good material for interfaces and conversions.
