SAP GUI won't start when launching through SSO at SAP Portal

Hello all,

we have currently some users with following error:

When they try to launch SAP GUI via SSO at SAP Portal (via downloading a file called tx.sap) nothing happens.

SAP GUI process pops up in task manager for a second and immediately ends afterwards.

The only error message I found was in sapguidll_01_3420err.trc

Error(27.05.11 09:24:10.522): Split_Connection_Str: Could not split connection string!

If I open the same tx.sap (via saving instead of opening) on another machine it works well.

I already deinstalled SAP GUI, deleted the folder manually and registry keys and then installed again but same error still exists.

SAP GUI Version: 7.20 PL 4

Do you have any idea how this can be resolved?
