Updating the register RG23a Part1

hii CIN EXPERTs,

against a raw material, i have done a PO and MIGO, did capture n posting EI w.r.t. PO.

now i am trying to update the register RG23 A part 1 with J1I5, gave plant, Excise grp, and Doc date, Posting date. Classification ROP. According to me, my all data, n configuration is correct.

but i am getting message that List contains no data. i am able to do Extraction n print. then why not updation?

Plz give the valuable inputs.

Your Part I is already updated at the time of capturing/Posting excise invoice.

Instead of J1I5, extract the register using J2I5 & then go to J2I6.

You will able to see your part I entry.

but in my company people follow these steps for every PO, after MIGO and capturing/ Posting, they used to do updating the register with j1i5.

same steps i am repeating. plz let me know, in what case register should be updated only.

J1I5 needs to be run to update the registers in following cases.

1.For RG1 -Issue/Receipt

2.For RG23A I & RG23 C I - AT the time of initial stock upload (561 movt)

3. For RG23 A & C - If you have selected the option 'No excise entry' at the time of GRN because of some reason.

But if you are capturing/Post excise invoice at the time of MIGO, then Part I will automatically gets updated . You only need to run J2I5 to extract the registers.

RG23A Part 1 & Part 2 is updated automatically on posting GR along with excise.

Display material document & check registers generated in excise invoice tab(part2),excise item(part1).
