Off Cycle Payroll Run Query.

Dear Experts,

I have a one query regarding the Off Cycle Payment, is like,

In my Company we had done the payroll run for the month of May 11 and we had finish the Final posting too. Now our Payroll status is Exit for the month of May 11 (i.e. Payroll Period 02 2011). But we need to give some payment to the employee in the same month i.e. in May 11 but our payroll is in Exit mode so my query is like can I do the Off Cycle payment for the same month and posting in to the same month. So please guide me the same....

As I know that off cycle payment we can do for the feture months. but here I want to do in the same month..............

yes you can do the offcycle payment and do the posting in the same month

I have one small query on the same . As I am in Period of May 11 and My Payroll period too Exited for the same. and I want to give off cycle payment on 31 May 2011 which is the current period to whom payroll is exited. So can it be possible as well as what are the future issues will rise if it is done.... please put some light on it...

Hi,

If your payroll period is maintained , for example (01.05.2011 to 31.05.2011) and control record is in exit mode, so you can run off-cycle payroll on end period i.e. 31.05.2011 but prior to 31.05.2011 won't be possbile and system will throw an error message (Current payroll payment date...............less than last payroll payment date ................)

You cant able to do off cycle before the payment date of the last period that you already exited

It only allow you to do off cycle after the payment date of the previous period . so here you need to do the off-cycle on a date that is after the payment date of the previous period.

What is yor end period of May, based on that you can pay thru Off-Cycle.

For example, if your end period is 31.05.2011, so that you can pay thru off-cycle in 31.05 also in exit mode.

Off-cycle only happen after exit of payroll that is when payroll is not in release od correction mode. Hence now you can do the off-cycle but for the last month technically be it allowed but functionally you need to check the impact. Also if you are forced to do then try on the date which is after payment date of the May 2011. Probably it can reduce the functional impact.

I will suggest you to test it and and do a test run for the Jun 2011 just to see the impact..... Also check if system is considering this off-cycle run and the payment of it as part of annual income.

I hope the query is related to India and the functional imapct i have explained is with reference of the same as annual taxation is apllicable in India. If this is not the case, please let me know,
