Calling URL using GO Functionality

Hi,

I am calling a web Address using the GOTO functionality(RRI) in a Bex Report. I have done this using the RSBBS transaction and maintained reciever as Web Address.

I am also passing parameters as few of the report fields. I have assigned this by giving the Assignment Details.

Problem: When I call the URL after right click in the Bex cell and click GOTO the link, the URL is calledand is opened in Internet Explorer but also opens one more Excel Workbook is opened giving the message 'Query delivered Empty Results'

Has anyone faced similar kind of problem. Dont know whether its BW problem or a Office or Bex setting ??

Can anyone help in out in this.

Hi,

The RRI always involves two queries. Please check whether these both queries seperately for return Result set whether they have some data.

One more possibility is when you drilldown from one line item and display the list based on this line item in the detail query, There is a chance of getting empty result because for that selection there may not be any data available.

Try to select line item which has corresponding data in the detail query.

Hi Arun,

I am not calling a detailed query.

I am calling an external URL, so there should not be any question of second query.

If someone has faced this problem while calling a URL, pls help.
