Connection to SAP J2EE Engine

Hallo,

I replaced login modul of SAP J2EE Engine. This login modul doesn't work correctly. I cannot log in. How can I replace login modul of SAP J2EE Engine now? I used Visual Administrator, but now I cannot use it just becouse of impossibility to connect to SAP J2EE Engine.

Is there another way?

I'll appreciate every suggestion,

Josef Motl

    Hi,

You have very good example and code to modify login module in the below link,

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/prtl351.htm

      Josef,

if I understand you correctly, your configuration of login modules /logon stacks on the engine got messed up and now you have no way to logon to the system and correct the error?

In this case: Shutdown the engine and launch config tool locally on the J2EE server. Ths should allow you offline administration of the engine (without the need for authentication). After having performed the neccessary changes fire up the engine again and see if your changes were successful.

      Regards,

      Dominik

I am not sure if this would help ,but can you try activating the Emergency User 'SAP*' and try logging with it.

I successfully log in Visual Administrator using SAP* user after activating it. But I can't change settings of component SAP-J2EE-Engine (located in Security provider service - to replace my custom login module by original module).

I can log in Config tool without authentization, but I can't find out how to replace login module there.

      Have you got some ideas?

Thank you both of you, kind regards,

      J. Motl

I'm having the exact same problem. Any more ideas?

I also activated SAP* user. I am not able to "deactivate" it according to the instructions.

    Thanks.
