Purchase Goods Return - GL Account not found

Hi,

I have run into a strange problem, where we cannot close a Goods Return (A/P). We followed these steps:

1. We have created a Goods Return (A/P) document with multiple rows.
2. One row was incorrectly added to the Goods Return
3. The document was partially copied to an A/P Credit Note. All but the incorrect row.
4. We try to close the document, because we want to return the incorrect row back to stock with a Goods Receipt (Inventory)
5. We are presented with a choice to use the system date or original document date.
6. We have tried with both choices, but when we press add, the system throws a -2028 error saying Records not found, G/L Accounts OACT (please see screenshot)

As far as we can tell all GL accounts have been determined for both warehouse and item.

For others who encounter this problem, the error was caused because the Set G/L Accounts By setting (Inventory > Item Master Data > Inventory Data > Set G/L Accounts By) was incorrect for one of the items.

Can you confirm, if "Goods Clearing Account" is defined under the G/L Account Determination for the period?

Hi Jitin,

Under the Inventory tab none of the G/L accounts have been determined. So also Goods Clearing Account is empty.

We will set the account, and test again.

Hi Jitin,

Sorry it took a long time to test this, but it turns out that it still is giving the error, even though we determined the Goods Clearing Account.

Can you please tell me if there is anything else I can look at?
