Hi Experts,

I am getting the error in receiver communication channel (FTP) as :

An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server ''. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: The control connection to the FTP server "" timed out while reading the server reply.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.

Getting this error for a particular interface. Changed the time out parameter but not working.

the same IP address is used for same receiver but different interface and it is in green status.

tried to restart the adapter but same time out error.

Same configuation is done for two receiver channels .. but getting above error for a particular interface. Please help.

Thanks,

Swapnashree

Thanks, but i am unable to ping it as we are using citrix server and one more thing, same ip address is also used for total 6 communication channel . All configuration are same. only for diff. interfaces different channels.

other 5 are in green status and for that ip messages are also sucessful for diff. comm.channel.

only issue with 1 interface. ID and IR configuration are done correctly.

please help.

Try to do a dummy modification on FTP CC, and check connection parameters. Start & Stop channel in RWB.

hi Swapnashree

The issue looks to be on FTP server. Probably it takes less time to process messages belonging to other interfaces.

A similar case about control connection timeout was discussed in this thread and solved with settings on FTP server side.

Hi Swapna,

If you are facing problem with only one interface then you make some dummy changes in configuration(ID) to that perticular channel and activate.

After doing this you just restart your communication channel and check if you have any luck.....

Also check if you have permissions ......for the user and folder which you are accing in your channel...

I agree with Chichillin, this seem to be a classical FTP connection problem (probably caused by a firewall restriction or similar networking problem).

HI Swapnasree,

try pinging your FTP sertver IP from your PI server to check the connectivity. If connectvity is fine then cross check if your USER and PASSWORD given in Your communication channel if correct.

As per my understanding there is some problem with connection to FTP server.

Thanks ,
