    normally on an HTML5 application, you can use a video tag like this - the source tag depends on your file extension (MIME type).

    <video width="400" controls>

    <source src="yourVideoFile.mp4" type="video/mp4">

    Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

    </video>

    if the video doesn't play/load, you will need to check that the server it is hosted on supports the MIME type.

    if you want to see if it works on a sapui5 view... you may want to embed that piece of html into your view.

    hope it works

    • Hi Sergio,

      Thanks for your quick reply.

      I have implemented this html tag for video.

      It is working fine for a video file which is available in website like: "http://videos.mozilla.org/serv/webmademovies/popcornplug.mp4".

      but what I have done is, I have uploaded the video file in sap application server i. e AL11.

      \\xxxxxxx\Presentation_Videos\SERVICE_CATALOG_PPT_286_288.mp4'.

      It is opening properly when we open it through the browser directly.

      But when we open it through application via clicking on the tile it is not opening.

      Please help me on this.

      Waiting for your reply.

      Regards,

      Deborshi
