number range

dear experts,

can any one please tell that how to change number range to external number range.

actuaally,some test data has been created in the system, and i deleted the test personnel numbers,this is fine.

but while uploading the data into system while hiring,the system is not accepting the personnel number and saying that the personnel number jas already used by another user. please clarify this proble. as this is internal number range.

thats why i wanted to go for external number range.

but when i check to change the number range it is thwoing a message that deletion is only possible in indial level...like that..

how should i go in this case,

whether do i need to go for internal number range or external number range.?

even if i amtrying to change the number range as external it is not taking, and even if i create other serial number it is saying that already the data avaialbe in between 99000000-99999999.

when i am traying to change above sequesnce it is not accepting.

please clarify how to solve this problem..
