Experts,

We have configured MRP process for inventory material. Currently our system creates plant order if stocks went below safety stock. The issue is even 1 Qty below the safety stock the Plant Order, and Purchase order and PO created.

For example : Material A, safety stock would be 10. If 9 qty on stock the PR created for 1 materials.

But we need to configure like the below scenario how would I achieve this. If safety stock is 9. The another 10 Qty of Planned order needs to create. It means 19 qty on hand after the GR.

Regards,

Raghu

Hi,

When u maintain the lot size procedure " Replinish to maximum", u would see the PR created for the 1 remaining quantity to attain its maximum quantity. When you have Lot size procedure as "Fixed lot size(FX)", and maintain 10 qty in the material master MRP view 1, automatically PR will be created for 10 quantities and not for 1.

Dear Raghu,

Based on the information you have provided, try maintaining periodic lot sizing procedure ( if it suits the business requirement) and rounding values ( for example planning should be in terms of certain round off values like 10 ) in the material master mrp views. Try testing this procedure for one or two materials and if you are satisfied, you can do the mass changes based on how many materials you are planning to change.

Hi,

You need to set a lot size procedure, so that when ever the stock level goes below the safety stock the PR will be created based on the lot size procedure.

Try it out.
