datediff error

i am using the following formula to retrieve the date

DateDiff(d,{NYP_pal_care_rpt;1.ADMIT_DATE},{@init request date}))

i get this error message

THE ) IS MISSING and it points to the d area?????

sometimes you look for the difficult before the simple.

duh it should be 'd'
