Hi All,

Can it be possible to bill for a sales order keeping sales order always open.

the billing is order related not the delivery related.

I do NOT think the method proposed by Shantanu shall work.

In standard settings, with order related billing, after all Order quantity is billed, the status changes to Complete.

Thus to answer you question - NO, not with standard configuration.

Furthermore, please understand that you are going AGAINST business logic.

e.g.

Sales order created for 10EA.

after billing for 10EA is done, the sales order should be completed. And correctly so.

You want it to stay "Being processed" when actually it is complete. Explain WHY? and be careful.

Hi Abhijit,

Shantanu is correct. By this way you can keep the order open, and can create multiple billing documents for the said order.

Hi,

Yes it is possible. You need to change the item category settings. make the billing relevance as order related billing and change the "Completion Rule" to not relevant for completion.
