hello,
we want to create a batch file (based on a java main program) using the UM API in order to create groups of user into the EP6.0 SP2 database.
we face a problem when we want to use the UM API ALone.
we need a lot of jar files and xml (dataSourceConfig_database_only.xml) ... we don't know how to create a standalone application using only the UM API ... do you know if there is a package which contains the full set of libraries ?
best regards,
Olivier.
Olivier,
sorry, I don't know of a similar package. But I might focus your thoughts on two alternatives:
a) UME features a text-based mass import functionalitty for users and groups. Check the "import" and "export" links in user administration.
b) You might think of building a custom web service that runs on the portal and calls UM API locally. Then your client will call this service and request the neccessary UME updates.
Regards,
Dominik

Hi Olivier,
the ways Dominik showed should work nevertheless, especially the second way.
A third way I would prefer is to import the data just from within the portal. You could create a DataSource by use of VisualAdmin to your Orcale DB and use this within your to be developed component.
If you want to import the groups on a regular basis, you could create a SchedulerTask in KM.
Hope it helps
Detlev
