I want to upload data into SAP using LSMW for a infotype. I am not sure how and where to indicate the infotype number in the 14 steps for LSMW. Or is there any other way? Please help.

Create a seperate LSMW for each infotype to upload data.

Dear Murthy,
If you are mass uploading infotype data using Batch Input Recording method in LSMW, whilst doing the recording you need to enter the steps .. such as PA30 --> Enter Personnel Num and maintain Infotype... this will record steps and repeat while uploading the data from flat file... i guess you know the rest ...just follow the steps.
Let me kwow if you any questions
thanks

Dear shambhvi murthy,
in LSMW, you have to do recording. in that you have to mention which infotype you want to update. in Lsmw Create Projcts then go to extras, there you can make the recordings.

Hi,
First of all which method you are using for LSMW.
If recording, first you have to record 0014 maintanance in PA30. Then follow the steps in LSMW.
