Integration DB13 - SAP DB

Hello!

I am trying to establish the interface from DB13 (calendar for scheduling backups) to SAP DB vers. 7.4.

This is where I am now:

I have called the DB13 - it reported that there's no RFC destination SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON. I have created the SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON, which is supposed to call the Registered Server Program dbmrfc@sapdb. Test connection reported that "program dbmrfc@sapdb not registered". I don't know what's "Registered Server Program", how do I register one generally, and how do I register "dbmrfc@sapdb" in particular. Please help me to clarify this. Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Igor Barbaric

Hello Igor,

these RFC destinations are automatically created if you start the transaction DB50.

Please delete your manually created SAPD_DBM_DAEMON RFC destination and then start transaction DB50. After doing so, the transaction DB13 should work correctly.

Kind regards,

Roland

Thanks, Roland!

I did what you suggested, but the generated destinations act the same as before.

SAPDB_DBM

times out with syslog extract:

R49 Communication error, CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 456

R5A > Conversation ID: 83005459

R64 > CPI-C function: CMSEND(SAP)

SAPDB_DBM_DAEMON

says: program dbmrfc@sapdb not registered / CPI-C error CM_ALLOCATE_FAILURE_RETRY.

with syslog extract:

R49 Communication error, CPIC return code 002, SAP return code 679

R64 > CPI-C function: CMINIT(SAP)

What should I do?

Thanks!

Igor

Hi Igor,

sorry for not answering for a while!

Could you please give me the following information:

1. Your current WebAS Version, including Basis SP

2. Your exact SAP DB Version (7.4.XX Build XX)

3. Your operating system (Windows, Unix (AIX, etc.,) or Linux)

There could be various reasons for the error you've currently got, that's why I'm hoping that the version information will provide me with some more direction.

Kind regards,

Roland
