EP6 sneak preview JDBC query iview connection properties

23 Views

Hi,

These are the steps I have followed for creating JDBC iViews / Query iViews

==========================================================

1. I Created a JDBC system for the MS sqlserver on the portal server. In the properties sheet provide the following values:

Connection TimeOut: 100

Connection String : jdbc:sap:sqlserver://MyComputer:1433;databaseName=MyDatabase

driver : com.sap.portals.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver

2. I have created a system alias for the system.

3. In the user management part of the new JDBC System that I created above I have configure it for admin or admin,user

4. Tested the connection: failed

But when I tried the connection (test connection)

The message I get is something similar to

Connection failed: ---

Found default System Alias.

Verify that user mappings and all connection properties are correct.

==========================================================

I dont know what I am missing or doing wrong

Please let me know what I shd change to make this work.

Regards,

Shanker
