How to Remove ON HOLD status for RFC

Former Member

Hi,

When I checked sm50, one of the Background processes show ON HOLD for RFC, the report is SAPLSSXP (SAPDBAJob).

I checked db13, thereu2019s backup job on 21/5 failed with status 9999. In SM37, the job showed u201CActiveu201D. I tried to u201CCancel Activeu201D job, but the job list still show u201CActiveu201D.

We are using Oracle 10g, ECC6.

When I checked the status from v$backup, all are u201CNOT ACTIVEu201D.

May I know how to rectify this?

Thank you.

Hi ,

Try to kill the process in SM50 by selecting the WP and go to process menu and select cancel without core .. this will terminate the wp and in SM37 do a check status on active job. It will be fine.

Thanks,

Hi,

I kill the process "Cancel without Core". Now, the process is in WAITING status, but there's "1" in Dump column. May I know if this is critical? May I know how to view the dump? In ST22, there's nothing.

thank you.

Hi,

If the wp was restarted then the dump will be created it is not a SAP dump .. its a OS level dump.

If you login to OS and check under work direcotry you will be able to see the dump.

Its not critical.. dont worry about that .

Thanks,

Deepthi

Hi,

Go to SM37 and select job and then from top menu select-->Check Status it should resolve your problem.
