Changing the look and feel of the portal

Hi Guru's,

The management wants to change the background(look and feel)of the welcome note on the Home page of the portal. Can anyone direct me how and where the changes had to be done? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

Sri.

Goto system adimistration->Portal display-> Theme editor.

Here select the standard themes and customise it to your own and save it

goto systemadministration->protal display -> desktop and rules .

create a portal desktop. assign . assign your theme to desktop.

then assign the desktop to roles.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Lakshmi

You can also download the newly release theme editor plugin for eclipse which can be in the download section on SDN. With this plugin, you can make changes to the default themes , save as a new theme and import it into your portal.

As for the masthead, you will have to go to the portal display > theme editor and make changes to it online. You can also down com.sap....navigation.masthead or something and modify the layout to create something unique. Upload it back up (with a new name) and create a new iview based on that par file. Then create a new portal rule to use your new portal framework and masthead.

if you have anymore questions, please ask.
