I am using a SAP standard task TS70008037 which is triggered when a partner profile is not found for
a particular message type (outbound) .
There is a default rule 70000141 (Agent for document or IDoc admin) attached with this particular task which ultimately calls EDI_ROLE_FOR_NAST_MESSAGE to resolve the
appropriate persons to be notified .
I am using ORDERS message type and message specific and partner specific persons to be notified are set up correctly in my partner profile .Idoc Admin and General partner partner profile , all have been set up correctly with appropriate persons meant for notification for errors . Still , we are getting the work items routed to many users who are either not related to EDI or not all bothered about any Purchase/Sales order problem .
I could only figure out that the SAP standard task TS70008037 ( which is triggered here ) is set as "General Task" and may be thats yy its going to every persons . I am not sure that when we have default rule already set up at the task level then do we got to change the classification of task from "General TASK " to something like "General forwarding not allowed , etc" ? ..
In other words , even though we have default rule defined at the task level but if task is set as "General Task" , does it take precedence over this default rule ? ..
Also , even though a task is classified as "General Task" is there nay mechanism to determine who all can be its possible agents at run time ?
Awaiting quick responses on this as to how exactly we can really route the work items to appropriate persons .
