EP6 SP2 Patch 5...

In Collaboration, the portal can send emails.

For example, from the Room News iView, a "news item" (my term) can be emailed to any portal user or even all users in a role and/or group.

That sounds pretty cool!

Does it work?

When I try to send an email, I get a "warning" message at the top that says "Email could not be sent."

The portal DOES send emails when user accounts are created/locked/modified.

I looked at the help documents (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ep60sp2patch5/helpdata/en/62/bb12c2f574364e96dcdbd7301b7aab/content.htm),

but I do not see that error. I imagine I have to look at some kind of log or trace.

Question:

I have completed the following config steps:

1. Created a Lotus/Javamail/Non-Exchange System using the com.sap.netweaver.col.appl.gw par. Created an alias for this system.

2. Created the Email Transport.

3. The Emailing Service is Active.

What else do I need to determine?

What should be the values for the javamail service in the J2EE engine (using the J2EE Admin tool)?
