HTTP response contains status code 404

Hey,

I am running a scenario where sending out an IDOC, XI splits it sending the IDOC unchanged to the SRM system and also maps the idoc to another systems format and sends it via the file adapter. The IDOC to IDOC message reaches SRM fine, but I am getting an error I don't understand regarding the 2nd message going to the 3rd party system via the file adapter.

It is:

HTTP response contains status code 404 with the description Not Found

The details are as follows:

- http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP=" http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">

<SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>

<SAP:Code area="INTERNAL">HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK</SAP:Code>

<SAP:P1>404</SAP:P1>

<SAP:P2>Not Found</SAP:P2>

<SAP:P3 />

<SAP:P4 />

...then

<SAP:Stack>HTTP response contains status code 404 with the description Not Found XML tag Envelope missing in SOAP message header (SAP XI Extension)</SAP:Stack>

Any idea what this means?

The file adapter is active but message never reaches it, because I looked in the adapterframework to make sure.

Chris

    Hi Richard,

    are you sure it is a file adapter not a SOAP adapter?

    When you are in SXMB_MONI what does the receiver determination tell you, e.g. is it the communication channel you setup for the file adapter?

      Hart you were right on. In fact, when the basis team applied Support packs before I arrived, somehow the adapter framework and core were left at SP5 while everything else was SP9! They have corrected the problem and everything is cool now.

      Thanks
