while creating the cost center in KS01 I am getting the error business area does not exist for TGSB

Hi,

After activating the Business area financial statement in OB65, you have to make sure that all CO objects where a business area can be entered, have the correct one. These are for example the cost centers (ks03) and the orders (ko03).

As you may have known that for a company code the business area is ACTIVATED and thus it must be entered in KS01, that

is what you're experiencing.

This also means that If BA Balance Sheet is active, the business area is a required field in the cost center master. If it is inactive, it's optional but it's not forbidden to enter a business area. This is the normal logic and this has never changed.

Enter the correct business area in cost center master. Are you using Business Areas ?
