Opening news details

Hi all,

Is anybody know how to display details of some KM document (news item in particular) without opening new browser window?

This type of document was created by xml forms builder and it's displayed by 'navigation iview'

Is it possible to display a details of my news item in this iview?

regards,

Artur

    Hello Artur,

    What exactly would you like to see? Would it be helpful to see data already in the navigation iView which is maintained in the XMLForm? In this case you could think about to use CM Properties (configured in the Property Metadata Service): these properties could be shown e.g. as a separate column in the navigation iview and can be maintained in the XMLForms edit view.

    Kind regards,

    Roland

      Thanks Roland, but I already solve the problem by developing new ResourceRenderer java class

      Solution:

      Create new ResourceRenderer (by extending existing one) and overwrite following method:

      Component renderContentLink(...)

      Component renderDetailsLink(...)

      In those method I've do something like this:

      Link result = (Link)super.renderContentLink(arg0, arg1);

      result.setTarget("");

      return result;

      After that I've put this compiled renderer (jar file) into ....km.ui.flex private/lib folder and created mapping in KM configuration under system configuration in portal.

      So, the final result is exactly what I was looking for - my KM documents are opening in "parent" navigation i'view

      hope it will help somebody

      regards,

      Artur
