Additional Application Node

Hi There!

I need to install an additional application node to my portal cluster, did come across a how to guide sometime back, but unable to locate this guide now. Can someone help direct me to the site where i can get this document.

Hi Fred,

the guide your looking for is in the Installation Guide Documentation ZIP File you can download from service marketplace.

Just go to: http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Components -> SAP Enterprise Portal -> Release 6.0 SP2 and lower -> Installation. The name of the PDF file is dependent on the ZIP file you download, which is dependent on the installation CDs you got:

From "Installation Guide - EP 6.0 SP2 (CD Serial No. 51020462).zip" take "EP6SP2_J2EECluster_v3.pdf".

From "Installation Guide - EP 6.0 SP2 (CD Serial No. 51030419).zip" take "Install_Clustered_portal 14-7.pdf".

The process for Adding a new SAP J2EE Engine Application Node should be the same in both guides, though!
