Issue with Delivery - Overallocation of material.

Scenario 1u2013 Plant 3000, Storage Loc 3000 is tied to Shipping Point 3000.

Material 1 has quants in 2 bins. Bin A has 100 pieces, Bin B has 100 pieces.

A sales order is placed to Shipping Point 3000 for a quantity of 150.

When the delivery is created, a transfer Order is created for 100 pieces out of Bin A and 50 out of Bin B.

Scenario 2 u2013 Plant 3000, Storage Loc 4000 is tied to Shipping Point 4000.

Material 1 has quants in 2 bins. Bin A has 100 pieces, Bin B has 100 pieces.

A sales order is placed to Shipping Point 4000 for a quantity of 150.

When the delivery is created, a transfer Order is created for 150 pieces out of Bin A. This is an overallocation.

This was tested with the same customer number, same part number. What could I be missing to make Scenario 2 act like scenario 1? We are using FIFO.

MBC1 has no entries at all.

BTW, we are using VL01N to create the delivery. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Hi

If the stock is managed with batch with FIFO strategy then record maintained in u2013t-code MBC1 may affect your delivery qty.

If it is not stock is batch managed then check CIR ( customer u2013material in forecord ) or sales order delivery limit

Thanks

I was told that none of the materials will split to multiple bins with this warehouse. I am not sure if this is something with the warehouse setup, or the storage location setup.

Hi

Go to T-code - OMLJ

Check ware house number & mvt type 601 combination .... Probably the over deliveries indicator is ON.

Thanks

I just checked OMLJ. All settings between the 2 warehouses for movement type 601 are identical. Any other ideas?

Check WM settings in SPRO. The path is SPRO->Logistics execution->warehouse management->strategies->stock removal strategies->define FIFO strategy. select the warehouse and storage type and go to stock removal control settings. Check what is assigned in the field stock removal startegy. Also check whether allow negative stock is checked. If checked, just uncheck and re-test.
