Howdy !

I installed the Landscape Verification Tool into our Solution Manger (7, EHPI 1) and now I'm trying to get all the green lights - well, at least as many as I am able to ...

For our 4.6C systems every one of them show the yellow alert : "Some software components not covered by configured product instances". The "PI 2004_1_46C" is not covered by any configured product instances.

The Addon is correctly assigned in SMSY and in the SAPNet.

Any ideas ?

As I dig deeper, I come to the same conclusion....

I'd like to, I'd really like to ...

I'll try to give an example :

There is a system AP6 with the Product Assignment "SAP R/3 4.6C". I checked "R/3 Server" as technical instance. I could also check "SAP Best Practices", "ITS", "Portal Content" or "XI Content", but I did not.

The technical systems lists (besides others) the software component "PI" with release "2004_1_46C". Which in my understanding is correct so far. But LVSM complains, that no technical systems offers the component "PI".

What I'd like to do is to see the product instance "PlugIns" in SMSY and check it as "Also Installed" and I guess, my problem would be solved. In table SMSY_MAIN_INST (using SE16) this instance is existing for R/3, but cannot see this offered in TA SMSY.

Probably something wrong in my SLD ?

Was I able to express myself ?

What I found out today :

There is a table SMSY_MAIN_INST. It contains a line :

PRODUCT | INSTANCE | TEXT | IMPL_RELEVANT | MONIT_RELEVANT | DB_INSTANCE | TECH_INST | LUSER | LDATE | LTIME | PROD_ABAB_IN

01200245450800000002 | PI | PlugIns | | | | | | | | |

All other instances are shown in SMSY under "Product Instance Selection" except this one. Any clues, how to "activate" this ?

Thanks for the replies so far.

I actually started using the LV with SP02 installed. A couple of the notes mentioned by Mateus were missing. Still the problem with the PI is not gone.

Implement SP02 of ST-LV component and apply these notes below.

1583010 Action to change technical system assignments is not shown

These notes has some corrections to ST-LV SP02.

I've just started using the tool as well. I don't have a solution for you, but just wanted to state that SP02 has been released. It may include some fixes, if you are not already there.
