Dear all:

I want to modify some java webdynpro ESS, for that I have customized NWDI and created a new track, I then added in the folder :\usr\sap\trans\CMS\inbox the file SAPESS04_1.SCA, it then showed up in the "check in" tab, I press Check in and then it went to the tab "Development" with status "waiting for import".

In NWDS I selected "Development infrastructure" and then I added my development configuration in the "Component browser" area... under this development infrastructure there are many stuff, among them the component SAP_ESS, but it has nothing beneath...

I dont know what Im missing, what should I have to do or done in order to be able to modify the standar java code and put it back in the server!

Went through a lot of pages and pdf but couldnt find any that explain in detail how to proceed

Thank you a lot for any help! Im doing all this in my PC with IDES, Im not a basis person so if you can give me details on this i would be very gratefull

Hi,

You have to Import the componnet under Development. It will take few hours. After that only you will be able to see the codes in NWDS.

P.S: Please do not post the same thread in multiple forums. It creates unnecessary duplicacy.

Thanks

Hi F_Mont,

If your track data properly created for ESS in the CMS. then you need checkin all the required component for ESS in checkin tab. Also import all the required component for ESS in development tab in transport studio. Once you import all the required component in development tab for ESS then if you import configuration in the NWDS then you can see the ESS track and DC's.

Also you need to place others SCA like (SAP-JEE, SAPPCUI_GP, SAP_BUILDT, EP_BUILDT, SAP_JTECHS) file under \usr\sap\trans\CMS\inbox apart from SAPESS04_1.SCA and do the same checkin and import in transport studio.

Best Regards
