Installation error SAP BW 7.0 inc. EHP2

Hi,

When installting SAP BW 7.0 inc EHP2 I get the following error "An error occurred while processsing option SAP Netweaver 7.0 Including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > Oracle > Central System > Central Systm( Last error reported by the step :Process call "C:\usr\sap\GBW\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe -testconnnect" exits with error code -1073740791. For details log file(s) R3load.exe.log).

Can anyone help? I am new to BASIS.

Hi,

There is nothing in the R3load.exe.log.

I selected on view logs om the error pop up and in the install log at the end it stated the following. Does this help in understanding the problem. Any ideas?:

Looks like you are installing on Windows and there is no ORA_DBA group created. It is unusual.

But try this

Right click MY COMPUTER --> Manager -->Local Users and Gropus --> Create ORA_DBA and assign SIDADM and ORASID users to the gruop and retry the installation.

Hi,

I checked and the ORA_DBA Group is there and tried to create a user and it states "The specificed local group already exists."

I then went back to the logs and looked in sapinst_dev and the last thing it states in there is

I am installing on Windows Server 2008. I dont know where the ORA_DB error is gone. Not there anymore....

You should be able to find this log

"C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ORA/CENTRAL/R3load.exe.log "

We need to this to see why it is failing to connect to Database.

or from this direcotry:

C:\usr\sap\GBW\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\R3load.exe.log

Paste the error log in reply and we can findout why R3trans is not able to connect to DB.
